This is a film in Francis Alÿs’s captivating retrospective at Tate Modern of a shepherd leading some sheep round a flagpole. Round and round they amble in a ring.

"Lunatics" narrates the experiences of different characters who live in the cities of Buenos Aires, Mexico and Montevideo. Their stories intersect. The madness of the globalized world and the local reality, of each one of them, is affected just at the moment in which the North American president begins to send posts on social networks, eliminating all trade with China.

It addresses with respectful depth the overflowing passion that some people feel towards artists such as Sandro and Michael Jackson or towards objects such as Torino cars and Jack chocolates.

The film follows the story of an OnlyFans star who becomes pregnant with a nepobaby, the son of a hotel magnate, and addresses the tensions between love, power, and media exposure.
